Drum flaker technical details

The principle of operation of drum-type flaking plants is that the molten product sticks to the outside of the rotating drum, which is cooled from the inside by spraying cooling water through the nozzles. PTFE connections are used to avoid water leakage through the rotating joints. As a result of the cooling of the drum wall, the product hardens and is cut off with a knife to form flakes. The performance of the plant can be adjusted by changing the speed of rotation of the drum.
